But how do these things work?

I've got no idea how to get started, I wanted to play the pokemon and zelda games on my pc, maybe the bond and perfect dark games too, but I've got no idea how these emulators work; what to download and what I need.

I downloaded a gameboy advanced one, but I uninstalled it pretty fast when I realized I had no idea what I was doing. This is very insulting for me, as I like to think of myself as someone who knows their way around a computer.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Config emulator.
acquire the games. (edited by moderation)
Open game in emulator.
Depends on what type of platform you're looking at.

What's the best Gameboy DS one, for playing pokemon on?
How do I configure the emulator?
Where can I download the games from?

Look around the emulator, it isn't that huge of a program.

Ya, like many do that nowadays.
Download or dump it - it's up to everyone. In some countries, it's even illegal to dump it yourself.
Of course, I'm also referring to that you should OWN the game you're trying to download, too. We don't condone piracy, after all...
