View Full Version : Desperatley seeking help: can my laptop play the dolphin emulator or not?? pleaz help

hello can someone please help me with te problem of the drect3d crashing in dolphin, im trying to play luigi's mansion but to no use. i have tried switching

color bits from 32 to 16 and vice versa and also downloaded direct x10 and
switching from HAL to REF all to no use can smebody help me pelase my

laptop properties is Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 1556 graphics by nVidia with a nividia chip type can somebody tell me if i can even play a GCN emulator on this laptop or should i just give up please help me i really wana play those gamecube games. thx.

here are my laptop system properties:

Name: standard vga graphics adapter
manufacturer: standard display types
chip type: NVIDIA
DAC type: 8 bit
operating: Windows Vista Home premium (build 6000)
BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTBL
Processor: Intel Core 2CPU T7200 @ 2ghz
directx version: directx 10

PS: direct 3d is not availabe in the display option and i can not enable it dunno why n thx

It seems that you have to install the nvidia drivers before you can play on the system. When you have no Nvida display driver installed, windows defaults the driver to: Standard VGA adapter.

Try downloading Nvidia Forceware Mobile drivers for your laptop...

First of all, install the latest nvidia drivers.

Then, wait for the next version of Dolphin, and hope that we have found and fixed the problem that makes luigi's mansion hang after the intro. The next version will also be faster.
