I'm just wondering in this digital age does anybody here, apart from Harry Potter fanatics and cardigan wearing bookworms, bother to read actual books anymore?

Yes. I know I still do.

I used to read books quite a bit, but now most of my reading is done online. At least I can still read. :P

I confess, I just read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows only so I know what happens in the final film before someone ruins it by revealing Lord Voldemort farts and kills everyone...kidding.

uh...i spend most of my free time reading. probably the reason why my interest in computer games has decreased to zero by now. currently nietzsche's zarathustra and camus' l'home révolté :)

That´s a very good question...I have to admit that i don´t read so much books anymore, it is just Donald books for me...That....kinda counts...But some time back i read A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, fantastic book, i read it almost two times...But that was a e-book....Seems i´m stuck at the beginning then...

I certainly still read books. In fact, I don't remember a time when I _wasn't_ in the middle of reading some book in the last 10 years or so.

I write more than I read, whether I'm posting on some obscure porn site or here. Actually, I'm in a middle of writing a book, called Hairy Twatter and the Chamber of Pussy. I figured if J.K Rowling can do it so can I! :P

I never enjoyed reading novels or plays in School, so I don't now. I do read e-journals, non-fiction eBooks, online debates etc. though. Haven't read an actual printed book in years (besides stuff I have produced myself).

I usually just read whatever I have to read. There have been some decent books I have read for school. I do however take this class at the end of the year, and I get to read whatever I want.

The two books I have actually liked were A Brief History in Time by Stephen Hawking, and Digital Fortress by Dan Brown.

I'm a slow reader when it comes to books, but when I read Digital Fortress, I have to say, it was the fastest I have ever read 350 pages. Its good if you like Action/hacker/mystery/conspiracy/love stories. It's a little dumbed down for those less computer literate, but its really good none the less.

Books, books... are they edible? :)

Doomulation

Well, yes and no, I suppose! You can eat them, if you like eating paper. Though I doubt they were made for that purpose... were they? :ninja:

Ummm... to be quite honest, I'm not really "compatible" with most books. If anything, I like science fiction the most, I suppose.

Call me weird but I sometimes print out stuff here that I may need for future reference, like Glide/Rice settings, etc. It makes it easier and more accesible reading it on paper. Afterwards I flush... :P

I've never been a book person, I have a very limited attention span when it comes to books. Probably cause I never really looked for a decent book. I'm a tv person and prefer to watch something rather than read about it, unless it's manga which I find as interesting as tv.
