iv just gotten Hey You! Pikachu and started playing it on Project 64 and then it comes up with 'Please Plug in a microphone into slot 4'
i have a mic on my pc. but are there any plugins for project 64 that make your mic detectible as an N64 mic?

The microphone isn't emulated. You can stop trying now.

It won't ever be. HYP was the only game that supported it (ah, yes, those good 5-year-old days. Good times. =) ).

Well, I mean, if someone will be willing to...But that would be quite tricky. I mean, who here still actually has their N64 mic and can actually find out the programming for it?

that.. and are the commands programmed into a chip in the mic.. or are they part of the cartridge....

Hmm, hacking the ROM itself could help with this process, but it would still be extremely hard.

if they are in the cartridge, we could devise a way to stream info from mic in, to the game.

Ya that would be quite hard to do but if they could it would be awesome there is no doubt about that.
