I am looking for a good quality gamepad that will last a while, but is not too expensive(under 25 dollars on ebay). I am looking for something with a D-pad, 2 analog sticks, 4-6 thumb buttons, and 4 shoulder triggers. Any good recomendations?

Logitech [Coordless] Rumblepad 2. Don't know if you can get that for $25 though.

I have one so it must be good.

about logitech gamepads:

i've heard complains about the calibration of the analog sticks on logitech gamepads. Is there any truth to this?

also another question

On there, it says that it is compatible with "PSX Dual Shock 2"

Is this the same as a PS2 controller? My PS2 controller says "Dualshock 2" on the top, but i got the controller with my PS2 and i know that generally PSX refers to Playstation 1. So will this thing work with my ps2 controller or not?

I've heard the same complaints as well, but they seem to concern Logitech's Dual Action gamepad almost entirely (the gamepad that is the spitting image of the Rumblepad 2 sans vibration).

I haven't had any problems with the Rumblepad 2, and I wouldn't touch that Dual Action with a 10-foot pole.

Yes, PSX Dual Shock 2 is the Playstation 2 controller (as it is dubbed the Dual Shock 2). The person who wrote that product info simply shortened Playstation to PSX. It's wrong, but meh, many people still do that.

I have a rumblepad 2 (non-cordless version) also, it's served me rather well this far. No problems on any OS.
