I hope this hasn't been covered (I really did look). O.K., here's the problem:
In full screen mode the FPS counter flashes randomly during game play. Did I accidentally turn this on somehow, or is this a known bug?
I'm using Jabo's Direct-3D 1.4. My graphics card is a Radeon 8500.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I got rid of it by deselecting the two "Status Bar..." options in user options.

Thanks goldeneagle, tried it but those checkboxes were already off (even tried turning them on and then off again to see if that would reset it somehow).
To be more specific what happens is a little white box that says the number of "VI/s" flashes on and off in the center of the screen in full screen mode. Super annoying.
Anyone else have this problem or know a solution???

I've seen that, too, sometimes. Try to restart 1964 and don't have that bar enabled. When going to full screen, it shouldn't bother you anymore.

OK, I get it when I'm using the 1964 OpenGL video plugin but not with Jabo's Direct-3D7 1.40
You might try a different flavor of Jabo's plugin and see what you get.

Hmmm...
I had that, too...
I only got it away by installing 1964 again...???

Disable the screensaver.

thats what i do now, i thought (hope that there would be) there would be a setting in 1964 which prevents this. it wouldnt be hard to implement would it?

Screen saver will be disable if 1964 is running games in the new release.
