Try Glide64 for this game. It might just fix these graphics clipping issues you mentioned.

If you don't know how to install Glide64 and change your graphics plugin...just to save my breath, try installing Mupen64.

If it works, then I'll tell you how to use Glide64 on Project64.

Thnx for the fast reaction :flowers:

i installed Mupen64 and when i started the emulator and i loaded the Rom Mupen gave me a message that i had to chose a Video plugin in the Configuration Menu. i clicked myself to the configuration menu and i had to chose out of 3 plugins:

- Direct64 v0.5.03.25

- Glide64 v.0.8 wonder

- glN64 v0.4.1

i didn't knew wich to chose so i tried again to load a rom. this time mupen loaded the rom and it started to play... but when i was at the point (The Bridge see picture above) first i couldn't climb up the bridge.. when i move sometimes with my arrow key's (right and left) and then tried to climb up again it worked but then the same problem as displayed above on the picture happened... it seems i fall down trough the bridge.

i didn't instal Glide64 Already....

what can i do now?

I think you might have a bad ROM. Use Good64 on the file, and then post here what it says.

The Body Harvest clipping bug is a known video plugin problem. You might be able to pass certain things by using cheats. Not sure if any other emu/plugin gets the game right.

stefan1187
February 10th, 2007, 21:36
hmmm and where can i find those cheats?

iconoclast told me about Glide64 he said maybe it will solve the problem... can you ell me about that?

Well, try Glide64 as your graphics plugin. Press Ctrl+S. See the top plugin field? Fill that in with Glide64 WonderPlus (and I know there's a new version out).

If that doesn't fix your graphics issue, then try Direct64. Then glN64.

Sorry I didn't take the time to test all of this for you; I don't have this ROM on me right now.

Glide64/Direct64/Jabo's/glN64()/Rice's Video do not solve this problem. Nor does Mupen64.

It is still possible to cross that bridge, but you pass underneath it (clipping problem).

stefan1187

then i can't come further in the game...... all those options don't work... further in the game i have to pass a bridge way up.... so if i can't climb i can't play the game

isn't there a way to solve this problem?????

Try installing emulator Nemu64. It's got a unique core and graphics plugin that may or may not do the job.

Clements

Unfortunately, Nemu64 does not support Body Harvest (Black screen).

:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

Then I guess I'd better do this myself. I come back with a conclusion in an hour or less.

Could someone give me a save state, please? I can't find the bridge. Looks so far, though, like Rice's Video Plugin fixes the clipping issue.

Body Harvest.7z = Mupen64 0.5.1 savesate.
Body.zip = PJ64 save state.

Rice's Video 6.11 beta 10 does not solve it.

hi iconoclast... did you already found how to solve the problem... i tried to install the Rice's video plugin but if i run the emulator then it said... it failed to load the rices's video plugin.

I'll let you know if I find a way, but, so far, there doesn't seem to be one.

Five graphics plugins have already failed to clip the character to the bridge. I think it might be a core issue instead of a graphics issue. Try using 1964 with Jabo's Direct3D 8 as your graphics plugin.

i tried to open it with the 1964 emulator and configured the jabo's direct 3D 8 plugin... but the emulator will not work when i do something with my keyboard... it doens't give a reaction when i want to start play.... what can i do?

You need to change your input plugin. N-Rage's sometimes locks your mouse automatically. Apparently, we're the only two here with this problem.

Try changing it to Jabo's DirectInput.

stefan1187

it's still not workin..... when i chose for the jabo's diirect input the problem is still there ....

Iconoclast
February 11th, 2007, 23:51
Install Project64, and use Jabo's Direct3D 8.

If that doesn't work, chances are, 1964's buggy core probably won't fix the clipping issue, either....

Edit: I wish...I could delete this message...so bad....

i could've told you it was a core issue iconoclast

Graphics issues, would be things like,.. objects being seen through other objects, when they shouldn't be,.. or the bridge being invisible or something.

seems it'll need a gameshark hack to get the games physics working.

stefan1187
February 12th, 2007, 00:03
hmm it will still not work... but the graphics are very beautifull now... for how far they are beautifull for this game... hehehe... is it possible to ask for an save state when i am at the point i cannot come further due to this issue???

stefan1187
February 12th, 2007, 00:04
how can the game get a gameshark hack.... is that possible to do that for me??

squall_leonhart
February 12th, 2007, 00:28
yes, once the proper hack is found.

a gameshark code was used to fix the subscreen delay in Zelda 64,
and also the control issue in pokemon snap

this is done by adding the hack to the RDB and loading it always.

still waiting on one to fix the camera activated events in pokemon snap..

erm.. tried running THROUGH, the bridge?

i just did on 1.6 / jabo dx8, jabo dsound, nrage 2.0 with no issues.

stefan1187
February 12th, 2007, 00:42
yes it worked... but when i come further in the game i have to pass a bridge way up... and that will not work if i can'climb... and fall down the bridge

squall_leonhart
February 12th, 2007, 01:44
this is wierd

clements save, when i walk up to the bridge, its like clipping semi works.. as i can't walk through it... but if i keep moving against it, i can walk through it after awhile.

but.. if i start a new game.. i can walk through the bridge without any issue.

clements, what settings are you using?

Clements
February 12th, 2007, 02:55
I found the same thing. It is highly temperamental whether you can walk though easily or not.

Settings: Emu+Jabo's RSP, sound and input plugins and Input. Video plugin can be varied (I tested the five I listed). I could only get in-game with PJ64 and Mupen64.

squall_leonhart
February 12th, 2007, 03:55
strange.

Mupen looks like it uses the PJ64 rdb...... 1964 controls don't work

Nemu, black screen

i found something else.

i can walk through the front of the bridge house on the U rom,.. but i can't on the E rom.....

looks like its gunna need a clipping hack....

this might take awhile.... :|

stefan1187
February 12th, 2007, 23:11
what have i got to do now then?

squall_leonhart
February 13th, 2007, 07:18
theres not much you can do

stefan1187
February 13th, 2007, 10:09
maybe i can do a request for a save state when i am at the point i cannot come further... i have a little other problem... when i play games with project 64 sometimes the emulator doesn't react enymore... then i have to click on pause and then on resume and it's normal.... but sometimes it happen 4 times in couple of minutes.... is there a thing to solve this?
