I've been facing a dilemma... I got the ATI Radeon X1600 last year for my old computer until I realized how shitty that computer was so I returned it and got another one. The only problem was that once it reached the house, it already had a graphics card in it... The NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE. So, anyways, I decided that since I could no longer return my ATI Graphics Card I would put it in this computer and use it instead of the NVIDIA.... My one and only question is: Is the Radeon better to put in my PC then the NVIDIA?

The specific ATi card is by far better than the specific NVidia one.
In short, use the ATi one.

Cool... I only have one concern... I've read up and various articles say that the NVIDIA cards have better OpenGL support and supposedly OpenGL is better then Direct3D, because it is "More Professional"... Does that change anything?

OpenGL games may run slower on Radeon cards (than on nVidia), but most games use DirectX anyway.

Doom is right, however there is no comparison with the Radeon X1600 and the 6150. The 6150 is integrated stuff so the X1600 beat it even with OpenGL stuff like Doom3, Quake4 or Prey for example

Stay away from LE (Lame Edition) stuff.

Also there's no reason to buy anything below 6600GT unless you don't play any games at all, also 6150LE vs X1600 is very strange comparison, just like S3 Virge vs Voodoo5 or Pentium 66 vs P3 Xeon - X1600 is much faster. if you want to compare X1600 with equivalent nVidia card - think about 6600 (X1600 non-PRO, X1600 will be about 30-35% slower than 6600) or 6600GT/7600GS (X1600PRO will be a bit faster than 6600GT in D3D games but slower than 6600
non-GT in OpenGL)
So you can buy 6600 or X1600, IMO 6600GT or 7600GS will be better as it will run Prey, Doom 3, Quake 4 or other OpenGL stuff much faster and will be equal to X1600PRO in D3D stuff, and nVidia drivers are better.
