Dumping sound effects to a file.

Hi,

I saw once a feature in a N64 emulator that let you dump sound effects to .wav files. I am using P64 and wonder if there is an option or a plugin that could let me do so.

Thanks for your help.

There are four ways to record N64 sound.
  1. Use a microphone and/or special sound input device or software.
  2. Use Project64 with Jabo's DirectSound plugin to record WAV files.
  3. Use Nemu64 and its even better audio plugin to record WAV files.
  4. Use Winamp, download some MINIUSF files or rip some USFs yourself, and use a special output plugin to output as MP3.
Now, as for which method to use, it depends on the game. At default, the easiest method is method number 2. Method number 4 is also exceptionally convinient, but as to what it can record in output, it is limited and difficult to teach how to use Winamp to some users for this purpose.

So, in Project64, make sure you're using Jabo's DirectSound 1.6 as your audio plugin. Choose the "Configure Audio Plugin" command from the Options menu in Project64. See the buttons that say Start and Stop? Think you can get it from there?
