how do i apply patches to extended ROMS??

I don't mean to sound rude or offending, but can you please explain fully what you want to do? Its pretty vague to just ask for help when we don't know what exactly you want to know. From what I understand of the exceedingly brief question, you want to know how to apply patches to "extended ROM's".

From what I know about ROM patching, you'll need to have a IPS patcher, as N64 ROM patches are often in IPS format.

I'm not sure about the other details, due to the complete lack of knowing exactly what you want to accomplish.

an ips patch can remade completly the game in the rom but i think we cant patch n64 roms...
