1964 and PJ64 have had updates or .ini updates to make games more compatible.

Are there any for Mupen?

Not to mupen64.ini - it uses some type of encrypted format right now. I believe Mupen64 makes use of PJ64's RDB for certain things, and that can be updated.

~/.mupen64/mupen64.ini is only gzipped, that's hardly something one could call encryption.

Data after decompression:

Ah. Didn't know it was gzipped. Looking at the file I had no easy way of knowing it was gzipped using Windows. Seems easy enough to edit now I know it's an archive.

Doom 64 (U) (V1.1) is not recognised by the current ini, so open it with WinRAR, extract, open with Word Pad. Add the following:

[1B1378BB9EE819F740550F566745AF73]
Good Name=Doom 64 (U) (V1.1) [!]
Header Code=423E96F4-CE88F05B-C45

Save, add to a gzip archive with 7zip or other, rename extension to ini. Someone else can do the honours for other games.

wow then that's quite old. i remember scanning the n64 romset with their little util to build that database 2-3 years ago at least.

maybe i could be removed from the credits or at least offer to re-scan things using the latest goodn64. hacktarux or shadowpri should get ahold of me to re-do things if they want.
