Hello, I have just started playing P64, mostly on hotwheels turbo racing.

My friend and I were trying to play two player but whenever more then 2 or 3 keys are pressed at a time other keys don't respond.

Since we both hold our respective "A" buttons to accelerate, and one of us is currently turning with their arrow key, the other can't turn or anything.

I belive this might be a keyboard settings thing I could change on my computer but I have yet to find one that works.

It's a keyboard limitation. You'll need a gamepad (or two) if you want to do multiplayer.

Price ranging from less then $100, I have no idea how much they cost.

Anything modeled after the N64 gamepad (or an N64 --> USB adapter) or then a gamepads shaped like the PS2 controller. As long tas the pad has at least one good analog stick and enough buttons, I don't see a problem.

isn't this limitation fixed on usb keyboards?

Yeah, but if you're gonna drop cash on a new USB device for playing games, might as well get a real controller or two. They're cheap enough these days.
