Paper Mario freezing

When i play Paper Mario, the game keeps freezing up when I level up. I have glide 64 with wrap and I'm wondering if I have some settings disabled that I need to enable. Also it slows down and gets real choppy when I enter buildings. Please help if you can. Thank you. I have a nvidia geforce 6800 seiries gpu, pentium 4 3.20GHz processer and 1.5 gigs of ram. If there is a thread about this already please post the link here and I apolgize about the repost. Thanks again.

I used the cheat to get 127.

The 127 BP cheat breaks level up. You need to set BP down to 126 or lower.

Concerning slowdowns: Be sure that you have latest version from here:
http://www.emuxhaven.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6123
and hardware frame buffer emulation is on.
