Cache error on paper mario

Whenever I get to the spot where Princess Peach meets Twink for the first time, and she goes out on the balcony, an error pops up that says "Cache: failed to translate." What does this error mean and how can I fix it? Once this pops up and I do control, alt, delete, the screen goes blank and I can't get past this point. Please help.

my suggestion is to download different rom of paper mario. I had the same problem and my computer would not accept a new driver for my chipset. Frustrated i found a another rom of paper mario, ran that one and it got past the peach balcony part. I switched back to the first rom after that and it works now strange enough. Maybe that will work.....

Yeah, you're right the new driver did not help, but I will try a different download, from somewhere else. Thanks
