MGS2: Snake ver. Raiden

I was playing MGS2 on my friend's ps2 in the wee early morning hours. The parts with Snake were f***ing awesome but when I got to Raiden i pretty much lost interest. Does anyone else here think that Raiden just blows and you should have been able to use Snake for the whole game.

snake, but the raiden story line gets very cool towards the end. its a great game, probably one of the best ive played. one question, as i never really played the first mgs (i just started playing it today)...i am so confused with some stuff. r foxhound good or bad?
