i just got a new computer, and i want to work 1964, i got the plugins i need, ore so i think, but i'm tying to play goemon mystical ninja, the best game, and upon opening the rom, i keep getting a black screen that says in white and yellow letters, "No controller.
Please connect controller to socket 1 and press RESET."
sorta like that, except the black letters are white, and the background is black.

in your input plugin, is the controller "plugged in" checked?

ok, i got the sound working with shibos plugin, it's really shity, but good enough.

now i have a couple new problems, i don't know how to make it think i have a save pack in, it says i don't have one, the other problem is that once i start playing the game, the only way to quit is to alt+cntrl+del.
is this because i set the mouse movements as controls in the plugin i made?

also, i'm digging this new processor, AMD athlon 64 4000+ and 1GB DDR SDRAM.

Which inpu plugin are you using? Jabo's Direct Input puts mem pak files in save directory, but for N-Rage's plugins you mus create a specific folder. And in input, settings you must select that folder.

N-Rages' Input plugin puts the mempak files in the folder you choose when you create a new mempak file. If RawData is not checked, every game gets it's own mempak file. If it is checked, you can create mempak files that hold data for multiple games.

And you can copy game notes from one mem pak to another. But you can't assing the same mem pak to two or more controllers, that won't do the job.
