I've connected successfully many times for netplay sessions via VirtuaNES. I can play games like Super Mario Brothers 3 and such with a friend; but what really gets on my ire are the controls. The reason is that my controls work fine offline, but the START and SELECT buttons become obsolete online if I were the 2nd player. I can't use the START and SELECT buttons online.
What's even stranger is that I played Super Mario Brothers with someone, and I was able to use the SELECT button to choose the number of players. For some oddity, my partner is only able to use his SELECT button sometimes.
I'm using VirtuaNES version 0.93, and am using a Saitek P2600 Gamepad. All the people (about 4 people) I've played with so far used keyboards, and they were not able to use their SELECT and START buttons, except for one of them.
I have already tried reconfiguring my controls and such, and even tried using the keyboard to try to get the START and SELECT buttons to work; but none of my ideas worked.
Can someone give me a solution to this problem?
