Does anybody happen to know what the very best emulator/plugin combo is for Perfect Dark?
Surely there's a way to get the motion blur working without having to sacrifice other features.

Project64 1.6 default setup, Jabo's video plugin has the most complete implemention of its effects, that is all.

Glide64 with a wrapper.
Which emulator and which wrapper?

Mupen64 for most accurate visuals, with Hacktarux's wrapper, and 'Get Framebuffer Info' enabled. While Glide64 is the most accurate plugin for this game by quite a way, you will need a very fast computer to handle this combo, so you may want to use Jabo's (and tolerate the various known issues) as it is at least fast most of the time.

wow, extremist must really like PD,
(not complaining, man. It's an awesome game.)
anyway, i just use pj64 1.6 with jabos. visually not as good as mupen, what clements said, but it runs faster.

How fast?

Preferably faster than (or about as fast as) my system, since I experienced many slowdowns during testing.

Ok, I've got everything installed.
Now, what are the best settings for these menus?

Enable Get Framebuffer info. All the rest default.

Well, I got all the settings right, but it's hella slow. (5-6 FPS)
I guess I'll really have to juice up my machine. :(
