Ive been trying out the new .40 b and it seems to work fine, except that the sound stutters a little bit to much like a rap song, (g-g-g-g-g-ooood job), what do i need to do to minimize stuttering?

v40b is just that, a Beta, so i have also run into the same problem but only with certain games. I would suggest you try Azimers v0.30 (old driver) as i use it and only have 2-3 games that have any stutter at all. I dont know your system specs, so that can also be a factor, hopefully you have a 850 mhz or better (like a 1.0 ghz+), as the lower your mhz, the more things will stutter and the lower the framerates.

Would increasing/decreasing the buffer size help?

You can try but i dont think it would matter much as the cause of the sound stuttering doesnt have much to do with the sound plugin, but the next release and the Ini has fixed alot of these problems, fixed a few broken games, and alot of other speed and sound issues, so just hold tight :)
