View Full Version : How about a 1964 icon contest?

Hey Rice and Schibo,

I think 1964 is an awesome emu, it has evolved greatly these past two years. However, I think now that 1964 can almost be considered one of the best emus, how about a new icon, giving it a new look? I think the old one looks a little too windows 3.1ish. So why not have a contest?

actually, it doesnt look too bad, just remove the gray background. an emu which needs a better logo would be :pj64:...

we probably shouldn't have copyrighted images or trademarks in it, but the idea sounds cool. if you want we can do something in this thread, or a new thread with voting.

Hey Schibo, how about we take entries first for about a week, and then make a new thread with a poll and then we can vote on the best icon? That would make it a direct democracy, and allow anyone to contribute to the projtect.

I think Tesla-Guy's "icon" is a bit big then. Windows icons are 32x32 (if I remember). :!!!:

I was under the impression it was a logo.:plain:

...BTW a "small" windows icon is (gasp) 16x16x4! :o

Isnt the logo and icon the same thing? I was thinking of mainly an icon contest (because the icon right now looks windows 3.1ish). But if Rice and Schibo want the icon to be the logo too then I guess that will work.

Actually if this contest if for a logo any of them looks fine. Yours is a funny size though, from a computer's standpoint...
