Ok, here's the problem. A long time ago I came to these forums asking why I was having problems in Mario Party where in some parts of the game the graphics weren't displaying properly. I have a Nvidia Geforce 2 mx 200 and I had been using the version of the drivers: 71.84. Someone gave me a link to download the 56.64 version saying that it was the appropriate one for my card (I had Windows 98SE at that time) and that solved the problem. Now, I've switched to Windows XP SP2, and I have the default microsoft drivers installed that do make my video card work, but with limited controls and features. My resolution is limited and I can't manage anything from the control panel of my video card (there isn't even one where it used to be one). I downloaded the 91.31 drivers from the Nvidia page that supposedly are for any Geforce video card and XP, but when I install them my videocard stops working and I go to 4bit 16 colors mode after the reboot.

Here are the specs of my video card:

OS: Windows XP Professional
Provider: NVIDIA
Class: Display
Version: 5.6.7.3
Date: 04/07/2004
Manufacturer: NVIDIA

Hardware ID Derived Info
Device id: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0111&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_B2
Bus: PCI
Vendor: Nvidia Corp
Device: GeForce2 MX 100/200 (DDR) [NV11DDR]

This data is from DriverGuide toolkit.

If anyone or the person that helped me that time knows what drivers I should use, please help. Thanks in advance.

Got it, thanks. I'll check if it works.

Should I uninstall the driver that windows installed or should I install the nvidia drivers straight away?

Yep, I'm getting the 56.64, the same version of the drivers that I had in Windows 98, but for XP. I hope it works.
