Size does mather... I have yet to play the GC but I find it diffucult to convince myself that all five inches of it is going to deliver the visuals I would expect from a larger screen...

I saw that "console" for the first time yesterday... inescapable thoughts of "Damn, that`s huge" and "Oh boy is that ever ugly" were involved. The thing is almost as big as my TV screen... *shivers*

I also saw the X-box for the first time this week, I didn't play any games but I saw Halo and it looked sweet. I am still not going to buy it because it's heavily overprized, almost 500 US dollars. The controller wasn't that good, although I never expected it to be top notch. I know we won't be seing one of those at my home for the next couple of years...

for those of you who have never picked up a crap box. . . er i mean X-box it is VERY heavy. weighs way more than the ps2 and ofcourse more than the gc. and it's not worth the 300 (not 500) dollars it's selling for. plus the controller is CRAP. WAY TOO BIG. although i cant knock the graphics. when i was selling them at toys r us and people asked what the difference between the systems was i would say "game cube and ps2 are better and wont break"

You have never been to Europe.... Consoles are heavily overprized, it might cost 300 dollars where you live but where I and many others live and where one US dollar equals to 9.80, perhaps even more, of our currency it costs 500 dollars...

Still, you have to laugh at the hilarious email reply I got from my sarcastic `mail to the support dept at Sega. Apparently I could simply switch my ISP just to use my DC to sign on for PSO? How easy! And not at all fucking stupid to have to do, oh no! That`s much easier than, say, them including a reasonable length name box... Oh, and thank you Sega for recommending BTClick at least a half dozen times... it`s almost like someone is paying them to say that. Plus a btclick username is "convieniently" short enough for it*ahem*

Actually, when I first saw Halo running this week I thought it was Turok 2 being shown for some reason. Then I saw the actual game juddering as it read more from the drive and laughed hysterically. Ah... just imagine that kind of behaviour in Goldeneye or Ocarina of Time. *shudders to think*

I would never have contemplated an X-Box until I saw GunValkyrie, damm you Sega why couldn't you be bought out by Sony or Nintendo grrrr.

actually I've noticed that Sega have a habit of porting "exclusives" such as VF4 so I'm just gonna wait for it on another console, and if it doesn't get a port, I'll pick it up when the X-Box is cheap

x-box sucks all even in graphics even compared to gamecube and ps2 from what ive seen so far. x-box sucks in all, i'd rather play snes games than those games on there :P gamecube's the best for me :D

I've heard that Sega is close to abandoning the Xbox. Just a rumour, but with the Xbox's failure in Japan, it seems quite likely.
