problems with some game not running in full screen

So I'm fairly sure this problem can't be fixed but if it could be that would be great. Some games i play ie starfox and waverace don't play in full screen, they are smaller and have a black box around them I run them all in 1280x720 on my widescreen television. Is there anyway that I could fix this to make it run in full screen? I am using jabosD3D 1.6.

P.S. I know you can mess around with something that lets you change the pixels displayed or something but when I tried that it never seemed to work correctly for me.

Many games have this black border, which is a leftover as a result of no overscan on your monitor or HDTV.

Currently, Jabo's video plugin has no way to get rid of this border, but the Direct64 video plugin does have this option (simulate overscan) - and it's pretty effective. The requirements of Direct64 are a little higher than Jabo's plugin, but it is the only option right now.
