Are there any PS2 games that can successfully be emulated on the PC?

I think you are confusing PS2 emulation and GameCube emulation. The only GameCube game that is fast on a GC emulator is Bust A Move 3000.

In terms of speed, I've been hearing that Disgaea and some others (mainly 2D games) run pretty fast on PCSX2.

Yeah, I've gotten nearly 100% in Disgaea's battles on an unclocked AMD 3800+.

i have nothing against emulators
but when a hot system is out on
the market it's not wise to try'en emulate it

I like emulators better.

Besides, P3 is coming out, why should I buy a PS2 just to have it go obsolete on me?
