Can somebody please go over the pros and cons of each emulator? I don't know which one to pick from. I'm interested in learning about 1964.

NOTE: I also want to know whether those hi-def projects in the 1964 section work with PJ64. I REALLY, REALLY want those patches!!! I downloaded 2 packs in the Z64 one only to find that I can't get them to work.

Emulation development is not a competition, and threads like this only erupt into flamewars and stuff, so I edited your post. I hope you understand.

I'll answer your other questions:

1964 is faster than Project64, and works better with certain games such as Dr. Mario 64. It also has some useful features such as per-game plugin settings. There is no reason to not use both PJ64 and 1964 if you want to play a larger selection of games.

Hi-res textures is not emulator-specific. They can be loaded with Rice's plugin, which works with any N64 emulator that uses zilmar's plugin specs for graphics.

..........my high-res pack working on PJ64? All the instructions were written for 1964.

Substitute 1964 with PJ64 in the instructions.
