I'm having a problem maybe someone can help me with.

I'm trying to retexture Zelda: Majora's Mask, and so I have to use Rice's 6.1.1 beta 10 debug plugin. When I use Project64 with Rice's plugin, using DirectX or OpenGL makes most parts of the game run at about 20-30fps, which I don't like. Using 1964, with DirectX those same areas are also 20-30fps, but with OpenGL I can get those same areas of the game to run at about 38-50fps. However, using OpenGL with either emulator causes certain textures to flicker on an off randomly, even with hi-res loading turned off. So I can either run MM with 1964/OpenGL and have it run fast enough but textures flicker, or I can run MM with either emulator and DirectX and have it run laggy and slow. Let me also add that I can get Ocarina of Time to run fine with a hi-res texture pack with Project64, Rice 6.1.1, and DirectX.

Are there some video configuration settings I can change and have it work? I have been messing with them but I can't figure out any settings to make it work.

I have been searching for answers high and low but cannot seem to find any. :(

I have:
Windows XP Pro SP1
AMD Athlon 1.25 GHz
512 mb ram
Nvidia GeForce 6200oc with latest drivers

I think that rice plugin cant show the fade effect that is often in mm, with directx it tries, but it doesn't work and gets unbarably slow. It doesn't even try which is good with opengl, but i cant see the clock and several other graphics. I am going to wait for 1.7, but i wish i didn't have to.

Blur effect is not working?
I just saw blur effects while playing majora's mask...
I think it's just a problem of rice's plugin!

jabo's latest plugin for 1.6 is the best plugin for this game as it has the most complete graphics - the blur, the pictobox - the transition effects.

I think it could be your proccesor. I can't really tell it should be equivelent to 2GHz? Oh wait i see. Your using the debug plugin. It can cause slowdowns i think. Use rices 6.1.1 not the debug one.

Thank you! That worked great. Now I can use DirectX with Project64 (my favorite combination) with Rice 6.1.1 beta 10 (NOT debug) and Majora's Mask runs at 50 fps. And all the hi-res textures load! Yay!
