No matter where I save on the map it always sends me back to links house in the beginning. Then I have to go alllll the way back to whatever level i was on at the time when i saved. Also, I put in the cheats for max hearts and now it wont change back to normal. Can anyone help? thanks.

Are you using savestates (eg, F5)? If you save via the manu and save then it's normal.

incorrect.
When you save a game in a temple, it is supposed to start back at the entrance to that.
Anywhere else. you either start from links house or the temple of time.

As soon as you saved, the cheat became permanent. You may have to restart your game.

It can be reverted, by actually editing the cheat to set the max mount of hearts you want and enabling it.

Yes. When you save from the menu as you stated, it is normal what you describe. The game works that way.
If, however, you use savestates, then you start off exactly where you left.

As soon as you saved the game (as in made a native save), the cheats became permanent and cannot be deactivated from the Cheat Menu.
Doomulation's idea of making further codes to undo existing codes may not always work, for example, it may just permanently give you a set number of hearts or cause other problems, rather than restoring the game to it's default behavoir, if the code is not perfect.

Indeed, but it is the best way of "unmaking" an activated cheat without having to start over. It works for simple things like hearts. I'd give it a try. You can always save first and just load your save again if it messes up.

in other words: BE CAREFUL WHAT CHEATS YOU PUT ON!!!!!
