i´ve been playing without problems zelda ocarina of time... then i abandoned the game probably a month or two. and yesterday when i started playing again there was something wrong with the textures. they simply dont appear. i mean, i´m in some place and the floor is all black and then i run or move to another point in the same place and the texture apear again and then it goes... and then its back.
right now im in the water temple and in some points i just cant see a damn thing. so i don´t know where am i or where am i going to. and it freaks me out. and i dont want to install again the emulator because im afraid the game will be erased or something. and i dont want to start it all over again.
could someone help me? please give me a recomentation.

Use Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin as well and see if that helps.

i´ve already installed the driver. but still doesnt work. one thing i did is in the option menu (on pj64) i configured the plugin graphics. at rendering device, instead of direct3dhal i put rgb emulation. and it worked. everything is ok. but its just to slow.
it says: video card Nvidia geforce 4 mx 440...
rendering device: rgb emulation
i dont have the anisotropic filtering on
fullscreen resolution at 640x480 32-bit (i already tried at 16-bit)
buffer display mode in transfer memory
windowed resolution at 640x480 too
i´ve been changing the resolutions but still doesnt work.
what do i do know?

You should backup your saves before you reinstall because you can put them in the new save folder that comes and then you have the same save as before.

RGB Emulation means that everything will be rendered in software, which is extremely slow compared to Direct3D HAL which uses hardware acceleration. Also, having anisotropic filtering enabled will slow the emulator down even more, especially if RGB Emulation is enabled.

hihihihihihi guess what??!!!!
haha... i did a backup...
and reinstalled the game...
and it hasnt solved the problem!!! i-have-no-textures! i guess the problem is not with the emulator but with my drivers...
this is so fun...

put gln64.dll in your c:/program files/prjecy 64/plugins directory then using the choosing plugin menu choose glN64

Hi,
I've been having similar troubles with Zelda ooT as well; whenever I approach certain characters or textures in the game, they simply disappear. I wouldn't mind it as much if the majority of the game didn't rely on these things... grr! Anyway, I tried using Rice's plugin (I don't remember which; I think it was the latest version) and it works fairly well with the exception that other textures fail to render correctly, such as the dust trail Link leaves after he does a forward roll attack and the dust given off by enemies, like the zombies, when they barge out of the ground. Additionally, Navi appears black instead of white, and the letters in front of the button icons in the top-right part of the screen are inflated, white, and ultimately illegible. My graphics card isn't too great--I think it's actually rather bad--but the game manages to hold up pretty well, save for the problems I've had. Strangely, I've tried using several different plugins, but there are always little problems with each one I use; for example, the Jabo cards have the problem referred to in this thread, and most of the others fail to load altogether. So, my question is, Is anyone else experiencing this type of problem, and if so, is there anything else I can do about it without having to deal with new graphics cards and the like? Would having such a bad card cause such issues to arise in the first place? I've tried tweaking a lot of the plugins, too--just in the graphics configuration menus (it's all Greek to me)--but the problems never cease to pop up in the game. It's all so frustrating... any help would be well appreciated. Many thanks!
Also, I've seen posts about "updating drivers." How is this done? Could this resolve any of these issues? Thanks again.

The only info. I can find is what I see listed in the Graphics Configuration drop-down menu, which says that it is an SIS 650_651_740. It came with the PC, and I got the PC about three or four years ago. I don't believe that my card is to blame, though, as many of the problems I experience with one plugin are nonexistant in others; however, in those plugins, new problems arise. Is this a reasonable conclusion? I'm terrible with computers, but when I tweaked some of the settings on one of the plugins--the Rice one--the problem went away, but then Link and many other things turned white.

Your problems are because of that integrated graphics chip. Integrated chips aren't good for emulation as they lack many of the more andvanced features that the current batch of GPU plugins need.
You might have some success with the Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin, but don't hold your breath. Jabo's Direct3D8 and Rice's plugins are too advanced for that chip to handle.
To put it bluntly, people with either a SiS or and Intel integrated graphics chip are royally screwed in most cases. Especially with 3D games.

K, thanks for the info. I'll try the Direct 3D6 one to see if it works, though I think I might have already tried it... I'll have to check again... I'll probably be getting a new card soon anyway, so this'll help me out in the future. Is the plugin available for download at this site?

The plugin is bundled with Project64.

anyways.. if u need to unisntall project 64 n you're afraid of losing the saved game (with the F5 key) just go ahead and copy the folder named "Save" on the root folder of Project64 n when u install it again, then copy the "save" folder u had already copied before n run the same ROM .. then hit F7 n u will have the same save state u had before

Geforce 4 MX does not support Pixel Shaders, which are required to use Jabo's D3D8 Plugin. Go to the Options menu and select Settings. Change the video plugin to Jabo's D3D6 1.5.2 and see if that helps.

I have an asus A7V8X-MX with an XP 2400, and i am using the shitty onboard graphics, the VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP (32MB Shared), 1964 w/ jabo DX8 video plugin. The only game i had problem with so far, is yoshi's story. Games like Zelda, GoldenEye, run OK and smooth. Didn't try perfect dark yet.
