We're currently working on a Garry's Mod gamemode.
It will be...

Metroid, of course!

Features:

Fight other players, Ing Possesed NPC's and Metroids with Samus's original arm cannon!
Full 3D models of Samus and Metroids!
Metroid-like maps!
Morphball Mode!
Suits (and morphballs) like Phazon, Dark, Light and stuff available!

... and more!!!

NOTE: Incase you don't know what Garry's Mod is, it's a Half-Life 2 Mod.

That sounds awesome! :bouncy: Make sure to announce when it is done! I love al of the mods on HL:2! I never would have thought of making a Metroid mod!

I won't believe it till I see it, if I had a penny for every project that becomes vaporware i'd be a millionaire by now. [/jerk]

Don't get me wrong it sounds good but i'm extremely sceptical when people don't even produce a shred of evidence to support their wild claims. One screenie would be enough to convince me and there isn't even that. Who is this "we"

1: Samus Render.

2: We, is me, reedbo, searanger, Sidearms1 and SilverRaptor.
Currently reedbo is grounded (they don't let him use his pc) but after some weeks he will be back.
I do the skinning.
Reedbo does the Lua Scripting.
Searanger does some modeling + Lua Scripting.
Sidearms1 is the mapper.
SilverRaptor is the founder of the mod.

By the way, Sidearms1 said that the maps will be done in some months, because of real-life (school and stuff).

So, that means that the mod may come at...
2007, who knows?

There is no way that we will NOT release this mod.
By the way, reedbo, searanger, Sidearms1 and SilverRaptor (including me) are members of the FacePunchStudios Forum.
That's where we post our current progress.

Aslo, I have put a fourth feature to the first post.

Ah, now thats what i'm talking about - now i'm more interested in this, looks like a good model of samus, a bit rough around the edges but its better than anything I could do.

The picture doesn't "click to enlarge" but the mod looks interesting so far, might have to reinstall hl2/steam in the future ;)

Also, about steam's latest update, I don't think it will be a problem, beacuse it will be fixed in 2007 OR August 2006, there is a chance like that!
