I just downloaded the Project64 v1.4 and I am completely lost. I want to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time and it would be nice to play a few others, but I have no clue what to do. I have project64 opened and I'm just dumbfounded. Can somebody please send me to a step by step list of what to do now? Do I need ROMs (whatever those are)?
Anyway, thanks for the help

Yes, you will need "roms." Roms are the games themselves. We can't supply them to you, or tell you where to get them.

...and you should be using v1.6
Once you find the games the rest should be self-explanatory. If not, the package includes a comprehensive user manual. Read it.

I just joined under a week ago, and I was completely new to the Emulator scene (except a snes one I got ages ago) I just looked on the forums, did a lot of searching on google, found what settings work good for what games, and made sure I had all the latest versions of everything.
Now I am loading hi-res textures into Zelda, thanks to these forums for showin me how to do it all! :holiday:
It was only a week ago that I didn't have any clue what a "high res texture." Rice or Jabo could have been some asian cuisine for all I knew!
It just takes some digging but you can easily find out what to do, you just need to take the time! :plain:
Hope this helps...
