why doesnt the emulator work?when i load a rom it then says something about a video exception?

first off, 1964 is THE BEST n64 emu.

secondly, it is THE HARDEST to setup/configure.

make sure you have jabo 1.4 d3d vid plugin, and use azimer's audio plugin. jabo comes from pj 1.4 which is a seperate emulator.

then, you need at least 600 mhz to play games reasonably. my 400 mhz k63 barely does anything except cruisn' world well. and it isn't full speed on that, either.

I got a Celeron 466MHz with 128 MB RAM and a 16 MB Diamond Viper 16 MB...
And there´s no rom that doesn´t at least start...
Well...but most run pretty f**kin´ slow, of course...
But games like Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Kazooie etc. run comfortably :D

take a look at my specs! Mystical Ninja runs like shit believe it or not, but thats probably just a bug in the plug in (Jabo's D3D7) plugin

...but 1964 is slow still on every rom i've tried. (although faster than pj64)

(although with 32 bit mode and no frame limiting and everything set to it's fastest cruisn' world almost runs kind of faster, though still not full speed, as does bust a move 2 arcade)

k63-400 with pci voodoo 3 196 mb and > 200 n64 romz.

if it's the gfx card, then maybe stuff will run fast when dave's glide plugin worx in 1964 (supposedly the next release).

if it's the overall system, well, i expect to upgrade soon... god knows when exactly....

i would love to play Mystical Ninja all the way through that game is a classic. actually the first game I got on my N64. too bad it runs like shit in 1964
guess ill try a few others.... anyone else got this game to run good?
