question about the game specs. of my computer

i want to play grand theft auto: san andreas... i borrowed a friends but the thing about it was that the sound play was good but video play was slower. everytime i get to the part where CJ is confronted by the cops and thrown in the alley, the game shuts off... any suggestions on what i could do to correct this problem... my computer features are as follows.
