A friend of mine has bought a new headset, a Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250 plugged it into his USB device and then it should install the driver (without CD) but it doesn't find any...
Mmh, any ideas!?
Hmm... It's plug and play compatible. It doesn't need any drivers. The problem is probably related to USB drivers of the operating system. Try installing the latest drivers of the mainboard (also check for USB specific drivers) and the latest Windows service pack (if needed). Also remember that USB plug and play devices need Windows 98 SE or greater in order to work.
It's WinXP with SP2...
It always tries to find the driver and then stopped wthout finding one...
The crazy thing is, it worked with the PC of his mom with nearly the same config...
Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250
The Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250 connects to the PC through the USB port, and requires no setup — it´s plug and play. USB allows the headset to perform consistently on any system. The USB technology is able to produce high-quality digital audio independent of the computer´s sound card, which is an advantage over non-USB headsets if the computer´s sound card is not of a high quality.
