New to dolphin HELP!!

Im new to everything lol, i need help on how to get a game work on dolpihne. i heard i can get a network adaptor and connect my GC to my pc. Well if i connect my pc to my gc, what do i do next??? collect all of the game data and save into my computer? or just run Dolphine??
