I don't understand why my sound would be choppy (it stutters and can't keep up with the game) when the game itself runs very smooth. This is for all my games (GBA and GBC games). Can anyone suggest any options to improve the sound?

go to options - emulator - synchronize and make sure it is ticked.

You might also try switching your video render filter to something like advmame scale2x instead of hq2x or 2xsai etc. (assuming you're using a high-end filter)

Taken from www.zophar.net:

VisualBoyAdvance Collector's Edition: Based off VisualBoyAdvance v1.7.2, this is a somewhat optimized version of VBA by Hiroshi. Made in honor of Forgotten (VisualBoyAdvance's creator). This build is much faster than the original VBA and supports more filters.

Try using an official VBA release and see if it works.

Have you tried the 1.8 betas?

Poetic..."The Collector´s was made to honor the Forgotten one, the creator".

Have you tried tampering with the settings or are you just testing a whole lot of emulators?
