November 6th, 2005, 01:41
Sup everyone, hope ur all having a good time, i would be but my graphics on the games are screwing up... the path will dissapear, my characters go invisible, houses will be under the ground, fences in the air, and I think you get the picture. Now do I need a plug-in or something? Or is it the rom?

Thanks much!

1. What game is it? It won't help much by saying, "this game".

2. Specs. What're your computer specs?

3. The default plugin should work fine.

Well, just about every game, i discribed every game ive tried in those problems, which would be Paper Mario, Quest 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Monopoly.

Intel Pentium 4 CPU
2.00 GHz
256 Megabytes of ram
Windows XP Professional
my graphics card is an ATI Radeon, umm, either X1800 or X1600

None of the things you mentioned has to do with graphics... What's your video card?

November 6th, 2005, 02:06
I dunno if u read my edited message but it's a ATI Radeon X1800 or X1600

I've read it now... It seems that you need a new video plugin.
You can find some at the plugins forum: http://www.emutalk.net/graphic-plugins/

November 6th, 2005, 02:22
Thanks, what would be your suggestion for which one to get if I may ask?

You can try Jabo's video plugin that comes with Project 64, Orkin's Direct64 and Rice's video plugin. They are all great.
If you want to take a step further you can also try Glide64 but you'll need a glide wrapper to use it.

Ok, i downloaded Rice (first on list)and un-rar'ed it into the Plugin folder that game with NEMU64 (then I switched to 1964), and i tried playing Quest 64 but as I figured it doesn't plug itself into it, how do I get it to work?

November 6th, 2005, 02:50
You must place the plugins on the plugin folder of 1964. You placed them on the plugin folder of Nemu (wrong folder). :P

November 6th, 2005, 02:55
ok i found the plugin folder for 1964 and i placed it into there and nothing happened :/

How do I get it to fix the graphics?

November 6th, 2005, 03:01
The emulator has an option to change plugins. Select the latest Rice's plugin from there.

November 6th, 2005, 03:14
*sigh* now it says The application failed to start because bgl(insert more random letters here) bla bla bla re-installing the program may fix bla bla bla

what now?

November 6th, 2005, 03:18
Download BMGlib from here and place it in the directory of 1964 (not in the plugins directory): http://www.emutalk.net/attachments/high-resolution-textures-projects/22952-beta-version-6-1-1-beta10-bmglib.rar?d=1111591000

thanks a lot dude you've been a great help so far! Some more help needed though, BMGlibPNG.dll is needed now in the plug-ins folder

November 6th, 2005, 03:37
Download the latest Rice's plugin from here and use this one: http://www.emutalk.net/attachments/high-resolution-textures-projects/23107-beta-version-6-1-1-beta10-ricevideo6.1.1beta10.rar?d=1111864029

OMG it works! Thanks so much dude you rock! :w00t: I owe you big time

November 6th, 2005, 04:01
No problem ;)

November 6th, 2005, 17:07
Ack, one last question, how do I make it go faster? it's really laggy/choppy

November 20th, 2005, 17:54
You could try switching to OpenGL for rendering. I have a 9700 Pro and it's choppy for me too, which makes no sense when this game isn't exactly super high end..

hello- i downloaded rice's new video port like four times- but i still dont have it as an option for a video port when i try to set it for default use- i'm not to good with computers so it may be something rediculously simple- but could someone please help

December 5th, 2005, 03:34
sorry port=plug in

December 5th, 2005, 03:44
You could stop double posting for a start.

Now download the plugin, extract it using winrar (or another program) and place it in the plugins directory of the emulator.

You must also download, extract and place the BMGlib.dll file in the same directory as the emulator.

Rice's latest plugin: http://www.emutalk.net/attachments/high-resolution-textures-projects/23107-beta-version-6-1-1-beta10-ricevideo6.1.1beta10.rar?d=1111864029

BMGlib.dll: http://www.emutalk.net/attachments/high-resolution-textures-projects/22952-beta-version-6-1-1-beta10-bmglib.rar?d=1111591000

thanks a million-
quick finishing question- not that it matters much but is there any way to fix the messed up texts and the few messed up backrounds- or is that just something you have to live with
