View Full Version : Problem with sound?

Hey guys-

I just installed the latest version of Project 64 and was pleasantly surprised when I ran a game and it didn't crash. One problem I'm having though is the sound is very jumpy, and seems to affect the video playback. If I run it with no sound plugin, it seems to run quite well. Is this a problem with my sound card, or do I maybe need to try to find a new audio plugin? I have tried both of the plugins that come with the emulator.

Thanks!
Aron

I'm not incredibly computer savvy, which is probably half my problem. I will post the specs as listed on the front of my tower. lol

Please note everything is proprietary, and I have not modified anything in my computer. And it is moderately old. Heh.

1.8 GHz Intel Celeron processor
256 MB DDR SDRAM memory
40 GB Ultra DMA hard drive.
64 MB shared video memory

Soundcard I'm unsure of. I'm sure it's some HP Proprietary card.

Thanks for any help you can give,
Aron

2 problems maybe: celeron and the video card (intel maybe and they´re not good)
celeron: because it one of the worst procesors of Intel. (if you want to see this http://www23.tomshardware.com/index.html?modelx=33&model1=44&model2=46&chart=25)
Video card: Not good, because it´s not so good for emulation

Bummer. Guess I'll just try playing it again when I get a new computer. Which should only be in the next five or six years. LOL
