Much time has passed. Surely you've tried a few emulators and reached your own conclusions.

Emulator either 1964 or Project64. Your main concern is video performance. With a video card such as that (one that is slightly outdated) I've had best luck with Jabo's DX6 or DX8 plugins. Stay away from DX9 and most OGL stuff, you'll probably either get a black screen or a lot of glitches.

It depends of the game, in some games its better PJ 64, in others its better 1964.
My opinion:
Zelda ocarina--1964
Zelda Majora-- PJ64 1.6
Ppkemon statium 1n2--PJ64
Mario Kart--1964(because sound too)
Mario64- both
kirby64 1964(uses D-pad)
Mario Party3--1964
Paper Mario--1964
Baseball 2001--1964
Mario tennis--both
