problem with Mario 64

dont seem to be able to use the first KEY after defeating Bowser Stage 1...

Keeps telling me i dont have the key in so many words...

Tried redoing the Bowser Stage 1 & still have the problem :(

anyway around this problem ?

where are you using it? upstairs or in the basement. lol i'd say yur using it for upstairs (the upstairs one is the second key), so use that one in the basement.

hahahahaha.... Sorry, I mean no offence. I don't rember the exact wording but basicly when mario tries to use the key you get from your first fight with bowser on the door at the top of the stairs, it dosen't fit. So try a diffrent locked door. Check the basement
