Bomberman 64 Speed

I am using Project64 1.6 to play Bomberman 64 and the problem I am having is playing with 4 players, makes the speed a bit slower. It's strange because the framerate says 59-60 frames, but the speed is slower than that. I tried playing with 2 and 3 players and the speed is fine (59-60 frames) Why is it slowing down in 4 players when the framerate says 59-60 frames?

That sure is weird, saying as your PC is sufficient enough to run such games at real full speed. It may be something obscure like the current plugin configurations; this is one thing many people do not suspect that could very well cause such issues. In order to get rid of the GPU/SPU/RSP/Input plugin
config, in your PJ64 folder, go to "Unistall" and then double-click on "Remove Project 64 plugin settings". This will reset all the plugins settings back to thei default settings. Hope this is helps!

i think this is probably the game code deliberately slowing it down? anyone try on real system? tried fiddling with counter factor?
