I'm running PJ64 1.6 on a pentium 4gig with a gig on memory, Nivia fx5000 graphics card. Mario Golf if glitchy and very slow in the "behind the player" view, and Mario Tennis is VERY slow indeed (the glitches aren't too intrusive); any ideas on how I can speed these superb games up? I've messed around with various plugins so all suggestions gratefully received.

For Mario Tennis try setting the options:
Force Alpha blending
Force D3D Transform pipeline
That may make it faster, and look a bit less glitchy.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried what you suggested and no joy; glitchiness was cut but the speed is still abysmal. What're the best plugins? Roll on version 1.7.
Thanks again for your help. Great avatar btw :-)

in (Jabo) D3D6 v1.5.2 plugin the following applies:
* Force Normal Blending helps with shadow issues
* Force Depth Enable for players
in D3D8 v1.6 plugin the following applies:
* Force Alpha Blending helps with shadow issues
* use D3D transform pipeline may be very much faster
* replays may look a bit better than in D3D6 v1.5.2
* resolution detection is worse e.g. on title screens than D3D6 v1.5.2

Please, lick deeper! <3
What? A man can't show a little gratitude? So many cynics in the world today. And the reason the avatar is great is because I'm a fan of the 'Office'. Being finnish you might not get that.
