No matter which game I try to load (I only have two), the emulator just goes slow and choppy and rather than frame per seconds I think it's going at a rate of seconds per frame (joke). Anyway, my emulator is very slow and I'm wondering if I should just not use an emulator or get some sort of plugin or fix.

What are your system specs? The emulator can be very slow on older machines.

It's a Compaq Presario with Windows XP.
I have forty gigs and it's from about 2000-2003.
