this is bullshit. its totally wrong in general that ppl blame video games for misbehaviour of a few kids but let tv broadcast grade-a sex/violence/drugs stuff from noon on. :pissed:

Get that bloody grin of ya face Jaz, he meant that there are no laws dealing with selling R rated games to minors... :)
Which is of course right, cause if it wasn`t so, I wouldn`t be able to play Half Life when it came out what, 4 years ago? Anyway, that law is bullcrap, most of those that play R rated games are minors anyway.

Well that law wouldn't affect me, but is is kind stupid. Look at that words they use:

"As confirmed by current scientific data, the repeated exposure to graphic violence and participation in violent interactive games may contribute to violent behavior by our youth and desensitizes them to acts of violence."

I don't know about you, but I can confirm that just about anything may be the cause of anything else.

Infact, my current scientific data has confirmed that the people that made this law may not know what their talking about. :D

i read a report about the german bpjs (like the us thingy, forgot the name) and i had about the same impression ;) - otherwise i couldnt explain that they rated sam & max: hit the road (a cartoon adventure for heaven's sake!!) pg16. :plain:
in my opinion tv is much worse than computer games.

Agreed. I don't have alot of games, but I bet they wouldn't like Diablo 1 or 2 :colgate: I wonder what they'd think of Worms Aemageddon...
