Controller Issues

I have everything working fine with only one exception my plug n' play controller is not being recognized, so my question is what am i doing wrong or do I need a specific controller???? Thanks for the help.

Dolphin currently doesn't have controller support; although, search Google for a program called "Joy2key". It makes buttons react as keys.
