I was going to play WarioWare Twisted but it needs the GBA to move for some of the games in it, so I was wondering how can I do this on an emulator? Is there one that detects that or is the game unplayable?

I don't know how to install the patch there, can someone help me install it?
It would be better if you helped me via AIM: cybrspce95
(sorry if this is an old thread, I found it with a google search while looking for a way to play twisted on the compy)

You need to rename the patch to the same name as the rom:
Wario Ware Twisted! (U).gba
Wario Ware Twisted! (U).ips
... and put them in the same folder.

Have you enabled automatic IPS patching [Options > Emulator] in Visualboy Advance (I assume you are using VBA)? Should work fine.

that's wierd, I put IPS patching auto, but nothing happened
just list everything I need in order for it to work.

Are you using the D-Pad to move side to side (NOT L/R)?

yes, yes I am.
My d-pad is set to Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Left Arrow, Right Arrow,
A=Z, B=X, L=A, R=S, Start=Enter, Select=Shift, Screenshot=F12, Speed=Space Bar
This info is here incase I can't have something set to something for a reason.

Try hard-patching the rom with an IPS patcher.
1) Make a back-up of the rom.
2) Download IPSWin (http://www.smiff.clara.net/utilities/rom/index.htm#fixing)
3) Browse to the rom and IPS file and patch.
4) Try it in an emulator.
NOTE: Hardpatching permanently changes the rom image, turning it to a hacked dump, so make a backup.
If this doesn't work, then the problem could be anything from information given:
- Rom is corrupt;
- Patch is corrupt;
- Patch is the wrong one;
- VBA settings are wrong in some other way;
- VBA version out of date;
- Joypad issue.
etc.
