Perfect Dark runs almost perfectly with my system. But any time I change weapons there is a slowdown. The game gets real choppy for about a second until the gun is completely withdrawn. This is a major problem for me because my aimer ends up in a different location from the time the gun is changing until it is ready for firing. I can't seem to solve this problem. I have used every different plugin and emulator. Whether its Project64 or 1964, Jabo's or Rices i expericence this annoying slowdown. Otherwise the game runs great. Does any body else have this problem? I would really appriciate some help.

Only prob i have with Perfect dark is using the CamSpy,which has made the game unplayable for me till i find a video plugin that fixes the problem.

I've got the same problem myself, with the gun swapping pause. I even went to the extreme of copying the rom to a RAM drive before playing, and i still get the pause...

I've posted twice about this problem in the past and I don't recall getting a single reply. So, I'm glad to see it again. I'm very confused about this issue, and yes it is major if you actually want to have a game of PD or GE for that matter. Are you using the N64/PS controller adapter? Those are what I have. Now, I've gone back to previous emu versions and plugins to pinpoint where things went wrong. I'm unsure about whether this is a input plugin issue or not, or whether this is related to Usb 2.0 or something like that. It's perplexing and frustrating. I'd love to play somebody on my PC, but it can't happen with the glitch.

on the pj64 cpu % counters, is it high on r4300i or dlist?

For me the higher number is r4300i. There is a drop in the dlist when the switching of weapons happens.
