I've been wanting to sell and buy some stuff lately.. and figured it might be good for others users too, to get rid of stuff and pick up some hard-to-find hardware and games and other stuff..

Watcha think?

Because setting up something like that takes far more then can be thought of. We'd need rules and guidelines, for one thing. We can't have people scamming others.

Besides, if you want to sell something I think your best bet is eBay. As far as I'm concerned emulation (and with that EmuTalk) should be kept as far away from any kind of money exchange as possible.

That's just my two (euro)cents.

ok, i agree there. i changed my mind facing that. after all most emulators are freeware, it's probably an aspect of emulation itself.

Yup. I understand Flow means he wants to sell actual hardware, wich basically has nothing to do with emulation, but aside from that, and actually, maybe even because of that, EmuTalk is not the place.

I could see where some things could be hard to do (just look at where everyone is from and the diversity's of currency and such). But of course that could easily be solved with "X country bidders only please"

I dont get it.. ?

this has nothing to do with emulation.. just the games/hardware that surround it. Yea ebay is great, if you want to complete with 500000 other ebay'rs looking at the same item. rules and regulations are set by the buyer/seller as in terms of payment, shipping, ect..

Feel free to give your opinion =)

Use the trading post, you might have a bit of a problem unless you live in sydney but if you do, then use it, use it good.

Actually i'm sure you got some similar newspaper where you are? you buy and sell things from the ads in there, really really cool and you can pick up some bargins. Go to the newsagent and see if they have some kinda thing.

Actually if we start giving away our names to everyone i would'nt be surprised if the people with larger amounts of roms would end up in jail sooner or later. Some of you out there know my name and exact location, most don't, and I would want to keep it that way ven of there was a trade/Sell forum.

I had this idea some time ago, but I guess blizz is right, if you want to go and buy / sell a game, go to ebay. :)

you can't post wanted/trade ads on ebay.. plus you have the rest of the world competing for the same item usually.

the terms on shipping, and all the details would be worked out between the seller/buyer. only buy from people you trust, same for the seller.

you can put out a request list, list of things to trade, or sell. There's no waiting 6-7 days for the "auction" to go off like on ebay.

what type of newsagent are you referring to macca?

As far as your comment slougi, I don't know how many roms each person has; nor do i really care.

I really see no harm in it.. we could set one up, and if things dont go well we can always take it down. I see no reason not to try it.
