It has been some time since I have ran pj64. I got bored yesterday and decided to go play some n64 on my computer, so I first went to your guys official web site and noticed that 1.6 was out (Yaa!) and so I downloaded it, put it in a different folder, and ran it. The last time I used pj64 1.4 was the newest version. Also, I havn't changed my computer much in the last couple of years. I have the same hardware, but I have driver updates that are different. Anyways, when I tried to run the 1.6 version here is what happened:

Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.2

Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6

<IMG SRC="http://razzlfraz.sacfurs.com/cbfd_dx8_2.jpg">

I don't understand what is going on but all the games so far I try hit this video error where it looks like that. It flickers the textures on and off making this garbly gunk crap.

I figured it was my video drivers, so I went to nvidia.com and downloaded the newest drivers. It didn't change anything with this video error. So then, I tried using rices plugin and I get the same error. I go back into my old backed up pj64 folder version 1.4 and run the games. They run fine without this error on the old version, but they run slow which is expected since my computer is really old.

My computer aspects is:

CPU: AMD 1gightz T-Bird
Sound: Who cares?
GFX: Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200
I have the newest drivers and newest windows updates for XP SP2.

Any other info you need just ask.

Please help me! :bye3:

I try to keep myself up to date software wise. I can use 1.5, but I would rather fix 1.6, unless 1.5 is recomended overall, and why would that happen? Isn't 1.6 suppost to remove more errors then create errors?

I suggest rolling back to older drivers, around the 40-50 series range, which you can find at NVIDIA's site. The newer drivers are probably breaking all the effects since they are meant for GeForce 6 series primarily rather than older cards.

I figured it out! :)

If i go into the Advanced graphics configuration options there is an option called ' Use Direct 3D transformation pipeline' and it fixes everything! Only problem. I got another issue. When I am done playing the game that option clears its self. Is there a way to make that option permanitly clicked? Also, how does this work in some detail? Just curious. Thank you :)

Oh and, I will try to roll back the video drivers if I can't figure this new issue out.
