Sorry for asking a stupid question, but how do you use widescreen with CBFD and the Zelda games? I can't find an option for it anywhere!

Just enable the widescreen aspect ratio in the plugin - then adjust game aspect ratio to suit yours (2nd tab)
Some games work great with this, others are a bit glitchy. For Goldeney/PD/JFG you can use the inbuilt Widescreen mode for best results.

Gent, how did you run F-Zero X in a 16:9 ratio? When I tried, the camera just went everywhere, and it was all very glitchy. The same thing happens with Aeroguage.

Just put the Widescreen on- but do not force the aspect ratio (if you do, it'll get all messed up).

But then it's just stretched, and isn't true widescreen.

Kid A: choose a widescreen resolution, there's no option for it per se. ;)

hey if I enable adjust game aspect ratio, I won't be able to see the dialogue boxes in CBFD, however it does fix the rainbow bar on the top border.

cvieor that's a beautiful pic.
Jabo it's a beautiful plugin
Gent (and Nathanew) you seem to have missed the point. you see? :D
I would like to be adding per-game info to the RDB (on which games this works with) for automatic plugin setup (not currently possible). the nearast you can do now is save two sets of .reg files with Jabo's settings and run a batch to start different games.. i may do this for my htpc. (i'm talking about not having to fiddle with the "adjust game aspect...." option when you switch between games).
In anticipation we can start making lists of games that work well, that have issues, and that are unplayable in "non-native widescreen" - who can think of a better name?).
