After my gravis exterminator pad broke after a pitiful 5 months of usage, I now find I can't install any new controllers in Win ME. Whenever I go to the properties section in the gaming options panel, I get a 'cannot find the required system files' message. It happens when I try to install a basic joystick as well, so I know its a windows problem, not a peripheral/driver one. Does this mean I have to reinstall ME again? I've tried reinstalling direct x but nothing happened.
